SIBA Remodelers (SIBAR) is a group of SIBA-member contractors and suppliers who specialize in construction work on existing homes who together are the recognized voice for the professional remodeling industry.
SIBAR supplies the following tools to help you solve the biggest problems facing today's remodelers and to keep you competitive.
Affiliation
SIBAR is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders' Remodelers! (NAHB) and the IBA's Remodelers Committee, so you also enjoy representation at the state and national levels through your local membership.
Education & Certification
Seminars and meeting programs are offered throughout the year on all aspects of the remodeling business, many of which are approved for educational credits for contractor license maintenance. SIBAR also offers opportunities for members to receive Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) designation and the Certified-Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation.
Networking
SIBAR meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month. These meetings are not only an excellent opportunity to learn the latest industry news, they also are a great chance to "compare notes" with other members about needs for upcoming projects.
Customer References
SIBA makes the Remodelers roster available to consumers upon request. Without an Remodelers membership, your company could miss out on opportunities to do business with people who are looking to do business with a professional.
Publications
The NAHB Remodeler newsletter, Professional Remodeler magazine, and SIBA's Action Newsletter are all fantastic ways to stay up-to-date on trends and products in the remodeling business - and they're all free to SIBAR members!
Community Involvement
Each year SIBAR sponsor events and functions designed to give back to the community. Recent efforts include:
- Annual Paint Day in cooperation with The Handyman Program
- Rebuilding of the Log Cabin on the Ohio River in Newburgh
- Flood Relief '97 emergency phone bank and information center
- Habitat Housing Blitz
- Providing continuing education for licensed contractors
- Annual Charity Auction that benefits the Tri-State Food Bank, Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Ozanam Family Shelter, Salvation Army, and Life Choice, Inc.
